Exchange 2010 – Licensing the Installation (Product Key)

A new Exchange Server 2010 installation is valid for 120 days. It is always a good idea to activate the product if in production.  To activate, keep the Product Key handy….

  • Go to Exchange Management Console | Organization Configuration | Server Configuration | Right click on Server | Enter Product Key

  • Enter the Product Key

  • Press Enter

  • Restart the Information Store service to ensure changes taken effect

You can also use the Exchange Management Shell (EMS) command to achieve the same
Set-ExchangeServer -Identity ‘ServerName’ -ProductKey ‘-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX’

You have a Licensed Product !!
